This was a full remodel of an original 1979-built townhome on the Vail Golf Course. The remodel included providing access from the dining area to the backyard, building out the patio area and adding a loft to the upstairs. The interior design included remodeling all four bathrooms, the kitchen and pantry, the stair railings, new wood flooring, paint, some furnishings and most window treatments in a New England style to compliment the owners' background with their love of spending family time in the mountains of Colorado during their holidays.
Working with a wonderful family from Mexico, we added a fourth bedroom/full bathroom with egress, a large stone patio accessed through French doors from the dining room, a large playroom - loft area and removing an indoor hot-tub to create a large master closet. This full remodel included interior design of all four bathrooms, the kitchen and dining area, living room floors and fireplace, laundry room, all closets, furnishings and window treatments. The mountain modern style complimented my clients' urban background with their desire to escape to a serene and peaceful mountain setting.
Timber Falls in East Vail is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo located on the side of a forested mountain and large meadow. The 1979 all-original interior needed a much-needed facelift! This interior design project included hardwood flooring in the living and dining areas, stone fireplace surround with barnwood mantle, new window treatments, paint, lighting and some furnishings. The design has a mountain cabin look for the owner and his buddies to enjoy ski vacations there, yet a nice cozy feel so his wife can enjoy luxury time spent in front of the fireplace!
A gorgeous setting in an Aspen forest above the Town of Vail allowed me to work with bringing the outdoors in to this lovely home. The first project included building out an outdoor living space with two patio areas, a waterfall, firepit and hot-tub. The second phase included furnishings and select decorative pieces throughout that coordinated with the owners' eclectic Native American pottery and modern art collection.
A full remodel of this original 1979 condo included two bathrooms, full kitchen, living and dining areas and bedrooms, turning a dark and unaesthetic space into a bright and fun part-time home for a career-minded city-girl who calls it her "slice of paradise".
